About

We test money claims against real numbers.

Miniature Money is an independent channel about money and economics, for people who'd rather check than guess. Each week we take a claim millions have heard, test it against the original data, and show where it holds and where it breaks.

A tiny model town built across the pages of an open ledger

Why the miniatures

Big money decisions land on ordinary people. So that's how we show them: tiny model people living on giant coins, banknotes and ledgers. The numbers are real. The town is made up.

How a video is made

  1. We pick a claim that has already had millions of views, and read what viewers say it gets wrong.
  2. AI tools help us research it and draft a script in plain English.
  3. A separate check tests every number against its source. Anything that doesn't hold up is fixed or cut.
  4. A person reads and approves the script, then the finished video, before anything goes out.
  5. The narration is an AI version of the creator's voice and the miniature scenes are AI-generated. Every chart and figure is drawn in code from the source data.

What we never do

  • Tell you what to buy or sell, or name a product as a pick.
  • Promise returns, or use words like secret, guaranteed or skyrocket.
  • Show one side of an argument. Where people disagree, you get both sides and the evidence for each.

Corrections

Spot a mistake? Tell us in the video's comments or email hello@miniaturemoney.com. We check it the same day. If we got it wrong, we say so in the video's description and in a pinned comment.
